Our new album Demons and the accompanying seven song bonus track EP are now available for those of you with a Clubhouse Subscription. For those of you without a subscription, we will be starting pre-orders for the album later this week.
If you haven’t looked in to the Clubhouse Subscription, please do so. We think it’s a pretty good deal: in general, it buys you all of the downloadable content on our site including all of the music that we will be adding to the site over the coming year (including all four albums of the Nomad Series) as well as a book (are real book, not an ebook) about The Nomad Series that we will be publishing in early 2012.

Wow…this a great recording of Vic Chesnut songs by the only band that could do it justice, please make sure you turn down volume b4 Ladle starts it may blow your speakers out :) :0 :) well worth the wait!
So, a question. Will the bonus ep be available in January with the Demons album, or will that be a clubhouse \exclusive\? It’s gonna be a while before I can afford the clubhouse subscription, but will certainly be able to purchase Demons and the EP as well.
Please see the post above this one about the Demons Presale. The EP will be available to Demons pre-orderers.
Hi Cowboy Junkies,
thanks for a very nice album!! always takes a few times playing to get into the music but it’s great!
Stunning…. beautiful CJ album for yrs. to come, some reason never a big Chestnut fan but I’ll give him another listen. Your interpretation – Fucking Awesome!! You’ve done it again- bonus as well. Many thanks for all you do and the Cookie Crumbs Vol 7 phenomenal. Peace
Have played the album and EP (such value – both priceless pieces and yet effectively costing next to nothing as part of my all inclusive Clubhouse Subscription) constantly since I downloaded them the other day. Had a particularly intense session listening to them when snowed in overnight at Frankfurt Airport on a business trip Thursday night (something surreal and yet incredibly apt about listening to ‘Stay Inside’, cranked up loud whilst sat in an Airport foyer with people lying on the floor all around you trying to get some sleep!).
Instant favourites for me are ‘Wrong Piano’ and ‘Flirted With You All My Life’, with ‘See You Around’ being my clear CJ Classic album summasition track from this one.
A magical mix of moving, poignant, lyrics (obvious why the band had such an affinity with Vic – his lyrics having that same Michael-esque ability to reach inside and, no matter how dark the subject matter, touch you in a way that makes you smile and say to yourself ‘yeah that’s right – these guys get it’), Margo’s beautiful voice and the guys’ ‘right on the money’ rocking instrumentation (Pete’s playing on ‘Flirted With You All My Life’ deserving of a particular mention I feel – driving an upbeat feel good pace and thread through a track that without this touch would definitely have had the potential to depress with it’s lyrical acidity!).
Thanks once again Cowboy Junkies for taking what was obviously some beautiful raw material and crafting it into a work of art!
Apologies for the typo on the word summation in the post above – makes me look like one of those Ebay advertisement posters who spells please with a Z in it!
