If you haven't been paying attention then you probably haven't noticed the treasure trove of recordings, exclusive to our site, stored in the EXCLUSIVES section. My favourite area of this important corner of our world is Cookie Crumbs (volumes 1 thru 10). These collections of live songs are curated by Cookie Bob who is a passionate taper of live music and someone who has attended close to 200 Cowboy Junkies performance: he has an excellent ear for the passion and nuance of a good live performance and each time we travel through the North East he generously provides us with a tin of the tastiest ginger snap cookies EVER made. We just posted Volume 10 (Underdogs) of his series. It's a collection of songs, reaching back 25 years, that briefly made their way in to our repertoire and have either disappeared forever from our set or are rarely played.From my point of view it's a gas to listen to, to hear the different musicians doing their thing, to hear Margo's voice and style getting deeper and more intense. Take a listen for free, "share" the player around and, if you have eight bucks to spare, buy a copy....we fully appreciate and rely on your patronage.

Cookie Crumbs – volume 8

Cookie Bob’s latest Cookie Crumbs is now available. Volume 8 is mostly from our Great Barrington gig in 2010. I remember that day clearly. It was a beautiful day which we spent leisurely exploring the streets and shops of Great Barrington, which is a beautiful little town in the South West corner of Massachusetts. Nice weather, good coffee, an excellent second hand book store, friendly town folk, a nice little theater and an enthusiastic audience are usually a recipe for a good gig. Take a listen and judge for yourself…and buy it if you have the coin….

Bob has been hard at work and has put together another Cookie Crumbs with some live material from the Renmin Park tour cycle. Very cool. Please buy it if you have the dough. If you have a Clubhouse Subscription you can go in to the Clubhouse section and download it for free. If you aren’t a Clubhouse member then you ought to be…check out what you get for less than the price of a ticket to an Eagles concert. Here is Cookie Bob’s latest installment. It’s his first ever recording of the band. If you bought a Clubhouse Subscription you can download it for free by entering The Clubhouse section of the site. We have slowly been adding dates to our Spring tour so please make sure that you continue to check back often to the Tour page to see if we are coming to your area.

Also, if you haven’t checked out Cookie Bob’s latest addition to his Cookie Crumbs series, please do so. You’ll find it and lots of other obscure Junkie music in the Exclusive section. There will be more news posted soon about our upcoming album. As soon as I get some time free from the studio I’ll post a bit of the music that we have been working on.

In case you haven’t noticed, we have added Cookie Bob’s latest edition of Cookie Crumbs to the Exclusive page. It’s a very cool collection of some of Bob’s first tapings of the band starting in 1996. There are some songs in this collection that I had forgotten that we had once played live. If you have some time you can stream the collection for free or, better still, throw your eight bucks into our hat and download the collection. In any case…enjoy.
