Latent News for Fall 2016

I hope you all had a great Summer and had a chance to take your nose off of the grindstone for a week or so and enjoy the sunshine…and now we’re all back at it.

We will be releasing the debut album, Lamps, from HarpAcash & the Morals on September 23. Its a Michael Timmins produced album that mashes 70’s glam rock; 80’s synth pop; 90’s indy-rock and modern folk into a truly unique and infectious sound. Take a look and listen to the first video, Modern Comfortable and check out their website for a free stream of the album.

Cowboy Junkies, have finally untangled the Byzantine labyrinth of major label red tape and will be releasing a newly mastered version of The Trinity Session in late October. The focus of this release is a vinyl re-issue, but it will also be available on SACD (which can also be played in a regular CD player). For this re-mastered release Peter Moore and the band went back and worked with the original session tapes, this is the first time that this has been done since the albums original release in 1988 on Latent Recordings. It sounds beautiful. We’ll have more details about pre-orders soon and we will send out an email dealing specifically with the release. We also have some shows lined up in British Columbia, Nashville, Atlanta and Athens, GA. Please check out our tour page for more details.

In other Latent news…..Lee Harvey Osmond is back on the road in the USA. Skydiggers have a few Ontario dates planned and Jerry Leger is back in the studio.

Stay tuned.
